In Situ Detection

In situ hybridization, allowing the detection of DNA and RNA, and immunohistochemistry, for localization of proteins and other antigens, are powerful techniques to explore the temporal and spatial expression pattern of genes and their products within organisms. Both techniques are primarily used in developmental biology or anatomy, but are gaining more and more importance in fields like genetics, evolutionary developmental biology, cancer research and somatic stem cell research.

In situ detection protocols are always tedious and time consuming, taking several days with laborious repeated washing and incubation steps. The  InsituPro VSi fully automates all steps of these methods, thus allowing the user to concentrate on new scientific challenges. The BioLane HTI 16V is an economic solution that automates most steps and saves precious time. All these robots are operated by easy-to-use operation software and delivered with a growing collection of optimized, user tested protocols.

InsituPro VSi

The InsituPro VSi is INTAVIS’ next generation instrument for automated in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry – it represents the third generation of the InsituPro product line. The InsituPro VSi maintains the flexibility and versatility of the InsituPro VS but additionally features a number of functions often requested by our customers such as a buffer preheating for posthybridization washes and more flexibility in temperature setting due to direct software control of the thermoregulator.
