Moving ten years of automated whole mount in situ detection to today's state of the art technology
The InsituPro was launched in 1997 to fully automate all steps of in situ detection methods on whole mounts. With almost 200 units sold worldwide, the InsituPro was discontinued in 2006. In 2005, INTAVIS launched an upgrade for the InsituPro to retrofit the advanced liquid handling system and mode of operation of the InsituPro VS to the older instrument. This allows for much gentler processing of up to 30 whole mounts or vibratome sections. In addition, the upgrade makes maintenance of the system easier. Alternatively, the InsituPro can be upgraded to process up to 24 slides. The InsituPro Upgrade also replaces the keypad with a PC-based operation software for more intuitive and simpler use.
INTAVIS will continue to support the first generation InsituPro and offer a software solution that allows direct operation of the InsituPro system by a PC instead of a keypad, making it more user-friendly.
